The UK Black Cultural Archives can show people that there's important
Black history at home too.

Challenge people's assumptions about where Black History has taken place,
by turning three important figures into household names
Missing tear-off sheets
​
UK Black Cultural Archives will place these tear off sheets around
the archives in Brixton. The number takes callers to the BCA reception desk.
Live 'Sightings'
​
The UK Black Cultural Archives will leverage social media to show
users 'sightings' of Claudia Jones, Darcus Howe or Paul Stephenson.
These real time 'sightings' will corresponded to real events in the lives of
these figures, educating people about their importance.
​
At these sightings, real statues will be placed
with plaques explaining the importance of the events, and these
statues will move around depending on where the figures have been 'seen'.
